Daywise Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Siliguri / Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station to Darjeeling - Pickup

Meet and greet by our representative at the Railway Station, Bagdogra Airport or Bus Stand (Junction), proceed to your exciting journey to Darjeeling. Enjoy the view of the tea gardens bordering the road and refresh yourself with the aroma of tea all over.

Day 2 : Darjeeling - Fullday Sightseeing

Est. Travel Time: 8 hours

Head to Tiger Hill(Provided the permit is issued) at 4 am in the morning to witness a phenomenal view of the first rays of the sun hitting the peak of Mount Kanchandzonga & Mount Everest. Return to the hotel to fresh up and get ready for the day. Post breakfast, visit The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Thursdays closed), Tibetan Self- help Centre Or Refugee Centre(Sundays closed), Tenzing Rock, Japanese temple, Peace Pagoda, Ghoom Monastery & the Batasia Loop. Have an outer view of the Tea Garden.

Day 3 : Darjeeling to Gangtok - Transfer

Approx Distance: 110 Km

Proceed to your exciting journey to Gangtok(Switzerland of the east)-It is a bustling, friendly hill station & the capital of the Himalayan State of Sikkim. Gangtok is the Tibetan word for 'hills'. It was once an important transit point for traders traveling between Tibet and India.

Day 4 : Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir - Excursion

Approx Distance: 120 Km

Est. Travel Time: 8 hours

Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and the Baba Mandir (New). The oval-shaped lake is nearly 50 ft deep. Brahmini ducks & lot of migratory birds find shelter at the Lake. Sacred Baba Mandir that is known as a very holy site will mesmerise you with the faith of localites. (If Tshangu Lake is closed, owing to Landslide or any other reasons then an alternate sightseeing will be provided). Nathu La Pass to the Southern part of Republic of China (another 20 km) is optional tour at additional cost to be discussed directly with the driver.

Day 5 : Gangtok - Fullday Sightseeing

Visit Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, Stupa (Do Drul Chorten), Flower Show, Research Institute of Tibetology, Gunjan Monastery, Ganesh Tok, Tashi View Point, Ropeway, Banjhakri Falls & Hanuman Tok- Legend has it, when Hanuman was flying with the mythological life saving herb called Sanjeevani to save Lakshmana(Rama's brother) he rested at the spot where temple has been built in his name.

Day 6 : Gangtok to Siliguri / Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station - Drop

Approx Distance: 125 Km

Est. Travel Time: 5 hours

Check out from hotel and proceed towards Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station / Siliguri.

Tour Description

ITINERARY NOTES

Our representative will be there to receive the guest at the single Exit gate of Bagdogra Airport or at the new Exit(where escalator is present) of New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.
In case the guest is arriving/arrives the railway station during / after midnight or before dawn, the guest is advised to rest in the Retiring/Waiting Room as it is not safe to travel at that time. Our representative will meet the guest in the morning for their further transfers.
Hotels suggested are subject to availability at the time of booking. In case the same is not available, then similar category hotel will be provided.
Please don't expect the service standards to be at par with the services that we may get in the plains / Metropolitan cities.
Days in the hills are shorter. So the excursions start early in the morning to cover all the points before the weather gets foggy.
Unavoidable situations - bad weather, bad road, strike or bandh - may require omission of sight-seeing points or change of tour plan and will be advised by our tour guide.
Landslides are very frequent in the hills. Any additional expense incurred due to change in route plan because of road blockage -caused by snowfall or landslides- will have to be borne by the guest.
Please take full risk and responsibility of your luggage.
People in the hills wear 1 cardigan during their summer months. Please carry woolens accordingly.
If the guest wants some minor change in their sightseeing schedule, it should be informed to our representative 1day prior before 14:00 hrs. If informed later than 14:00 hrs. cancellation rules will apply and the guest will have to pay additionally for the desired changes.
The following points will remain closed on State Government & National Holidays. Gangtok - Handicraft & Handloom Showroom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Flower Show. Darjeeling - Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padma Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre.
Nathula Pass, Gurudongmar Lake & Yumesomdong (Zero Point) have less oxygen content in the air, owing to high altitude and presence of snow. People with heart problem, blood pressure and knees problem & having children below 05 years are advised to avoid these points as adequate medical systems are not available here.
North Sikkim (Lachen & Lachung) trip starts from and terminates in Gangtok. It includes Stay, transport, sight-seeing and all 3 meals.

COSTING NOTES

In case of any hike in the taxes a surcharge will be applicable.
If the tour has started and needs to be terminated mid-way by the guest for their personal reasons or for any situation caused by nature, no amount will be refundable to the guest. Child Rate:
Child Below 5 yrs are complimentary.
Child 5 -10 yrs will be charged on the basis of Child no Bed (CNB) or Child with Bed (CWB).
Child above 10 years will be charged as Extra Adult Sharing Room.

Hotels are very strict with the child policy. Please carry the age proof to be produced at the hotel on request.
