  1. Day 1

    Guwahati to Kaziranga

    220 km · about 5 hrs

    • Drive through Assam's tea gardens and paddy fields
    • Kaziranga Orchid Park
    • Bihu dance and Assamese folk music performance

    Overnight: Kaziranga

  2. Day 2

    Kaziranga safari day

    • Early-morning elephant safari (subject to forest department allotment)
    • Jeep safari in the Central Range
    • One-horned rhino, wild buffalo, elephants, swamp deer and birdlife

    Overnight: Kaziranga

  3. Day 3

    Kaziranga to Guwahati

    220 km · about 5 hrs

    • Morning at leisure, then drive to Guwahati
    • Optional Brahmaputra sunset cruise (subject to weather and season)

    Overnight: Guwahati

  4. Day 4

    Guwahati sightseeing and departure

    • Kamakhya Temple early in the morning
    • Ferry to Umananda Temple on Peacock Island
    • Fancy Bazar for Assam silk, then drop at Guwahati airport or station
